Included

Everything you get, on every plan

Free, pay per recipe or Business: you get the same complete toolkit. Plans only change how many recipes you can cost.

  • Dishes, pastry and drinks

One recipe library with tabs for Dishes, Pastry and Drinks. Drinks can be made in-house or bought by the crate or pack to resell.

  • Measure the way you cook

Use part of a pack, an exact weight, or whole items. Cost a pot of stew without weighing every cube of seasoning.

  • Costing calculator

Food cost with waste, plus labour and extras like gas, transport and packaging. Set a profit markup or your own price and check the food cost ratio.

  • Cost an event per guest

Planning a party or a catering job? Cost it by the number of guests and see the cost per head.

  • Market lists

Record what you paid, by the bag, the crate or the piece. Prices feed every recipe that uses them, and a price change can update them all at once.

  • Price history

See the last 12 prices you paid for each ingredient, so a creeping price is easy to spot.

  • Price check

When ingredient prices move, CostKit points out the recipes affected, so your selling prices keep up with the market.

  • Menus, costed per plate

Build dine-in, catering or takeout menus and see the cost, selling price and profit per plate.

  • Saved costings

Save every costing to your library, reopen it later and update it when prices change.

  • Profit trends

Your Home screen shows the profit on the costings you saved over the last 7 days, and your average margin.

  • PDF export

Export a costing report, a recipe, a market list, or a menu as a customer menu card or an internal costing overview.

  • Staff and labour

Add your team with daily or monthly pay. In a costing, labour is counted by the days a batch takes.

  • Overheads and a sales target

Track rent, power and other bills, and see the sales you need each month to cover your team and bills.

  • Personal or Business

Personal keeps CostKit simple for home cooks. Business adds staff, overheads and the monthly sales target. Switch any time in Settings.

  • A guided first run

A short tour takes you from your first market price to your first saved costing. Replay it any time from Settings.

  • Any currency

Choose where your kitchen is and CostKit works in your currency, from naira and cedis to rand, pounds and dollars.

  • Sign in with Google

Create your account with Google on the web app, or with an email address and password.

  • Install it like an app

Add CostKit to your phone’s home screen from the browser. It opens full-screen, like any other app.

After your 2 free recipes, it costs ₦600 to cost a recipe, our launch price (normally ₦1,500). It is a one-time charge and credits never expire, so you can buy several at once to lock in the launch price. A costed recipe stays unlocked for good.

When you go to cost a recipe beyond your free ones, the app offers two options: ₦600 for that recipe, or Business for ₦6,000 a month. Payments are made in the web app, in Naira, through Paystack, by card, bank transfer or USSD.

Business costs ₦6,000 a month during our launch (normally ₦15,000) and covers unlimited recipe costings. Pay by card and it renews each month until you cancel: Settings → Account → Manage Subscription takes you to Paystack to change your card or cancel. Pay by bank transfer or USSD and you get 30 days, then renew when you are ready. Subscribe during the launch and you keep the ₦6,000 price for as long as you stay subscribed.

Because you can try CostKit free first, payments are normally non-refundable. But if you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or paid for something that did not unlock, contact us within the billing period and we will put it right. See the refund policy.
